Maja Jantar.

Maja Jantar is a multidisciplinary, multilingual and polysonic artist, ceramicist and director, whose work spans the fields of performance, music, poetry, ceramic and visual arts. Distant Tartar roots echo in her soundings – weaving the operatic, poetic, abstract influences together to vocal sound works that landscape into performance. In pieces like ‘Petrichor a Lit[h]any for rain’ and M[other]land she explores collaborations with non-human entities, rain, wood, plants, in her multi-disciplinary installation ‘Shoreline’, Lunalia Festival Mechelen, ceramics and a rolling table created a reverberating sound piece. In performance she invites to enter the field of the imaginary, the inner stream, the shamanistic, enchanting, prophetic. Her visual and sound work has been shown in several exhibits, recently at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, in LA VOIX LIBERÉE a sound poetry exhibition. For 2021 an LP release of new vocal work is planned on ERRATUM, in the series VOXXX.

Jah-Mir Early

“I think of my work as putting you on a couch in my mind. I draw from my mind’s ability to see connections and to move randomly from one place to another to say what I want to say. Built up on themes and words that come to me just a second before I give it to the audience.”

Born in Washington D.C in 1975 and identified as dyslexic at age 3. Which influenced his extensive 11 year work within special education. From early Jah-Mir has been telling stories and poems, as he says, “sometimes even to other people”, as a way of having entertainment when unable to read like the others. After achieving his sociology Bs, Jah-mir ventured the world from 1999, living  in many different countries, amongst many different peoples, hearing many different stories, and telling a few, currently in a long layover in England!

Luna Montenegro & Adrian Fisher.

Luna Montenegro and Adrian Fisher are London-based poets, performers and visual artists working under the collective name mmmmm and the pen name montenegrofisher. They collaborate in the making of text, visual and sonic interventions, films and curatorial projects. Their work investigates ideas of locality, transformation and ritual, exploring spaces, borders and bridges between the political and the poetic. Since January 2000, they have shown their work internationally in art galleries, museums, residencies, festivals, site specific projects, internet and radio including ICA, London, CCCB, Barcelona, Maison de la Poésie, Paris, Venice Biennale 2019, ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival, Berlin, Bibliotheca National de France, Lettrétage Literaturhaus, Palacio das Artes, Brazil. Anne Waldman.

Author of over 50 books, chapbooks and anthologies, active poet and prolific performer, Anne Waldman was born in Millville New Jersey. In 1966 She attended the legendary Berkeley Poetry Conference meeting Allen Ginsberg, Charles Olson and Ted Berrigan. She was Project Director at the Poetry Project, St Marks Church in the Bowery from 1968 to 1978, a zone for the second generation of the New American Poetry. Primary editor of the magazine 'The World.' In 1974 she helped found The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics Summer Program & MFA with Allen Ginsberg. Her vinyl SCIAMACHY was released in 2020 in collaboration with the Levy Gorvy Gallery in NYC, which Patti Smith called: “Exquisitely potent, a psychic shield for our times.” Forthcoming books include: Bard, Kinetic, Coffee House 2022, Mesopotopia, Penguin 2023. She has been deemed a “counter-cultural giant” by Publisher’s Weekly, and received an Award from the Before Columbus Foundation for Lifetime Achievement.

Amelia Zhou.

Amelia Zhou is a London-based writer, movement practitioner and arts worker. Her practice extends across poetry, non-fiction writing, dance and performance. Recent poetry and non-fiction appear in UK and Australian publications, such as Cordite Poetry Review, Datableed, Gutter Magazine, Australian Book Review, Running Dog and The Sydney Morning Herald. Her performance work CHORA (2020) examines the relationship between voice, poetry and movement. She completed a MA Creative Practice (Transdisciplinary) at Trinity Laban, London in 2020.

SubPhonics.

SubPhonics is an experimental music and sound art collective that focuses on sonic improvisation, score making, and dynamic structure compositions. SubPhonics aim to explore the possibilities that an interdisciplinary approach to sound improvisation can unfold. As such, the group often works with textual and visual elements within their sessions, it produces live soundtracks for movies and interprets text, graphic and video scores. SubPhonics values a community focused approach to experimental art, and aims to be non-exclusionary and non-hierarchical in its structuring by offering a platform for sonic sharing to musicians and practitioners at every stage of their career and creative path.
